Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia
Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia is a service that provides General Italian, Conversational Italian, Business Italian and Exam Preparation Italian courses online, via the Internet through audio or/and video call. The courses consist of 60 minute long classes for individuals or groups of 2-4 students. Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia provides a professional certified native teacher.
Booking Italian lessons
All lessons bookings must be agreed to in advance with your teacher via e-mail at the following address:learnitalian.silvia@gmail.com or silmaggio@gmail.com. Your teacher will confirm the date/dates and time of the lessons at least 24 hours in advance. You must confirm the date and time by answering the teacher’s e-mail at least 24 hours in advance.
Payment and fees
All fees and transactions are in Euros, unless otherwise agreed. All lessons must be paid for in advance. You may choose whether to purchase 1 lesson or packages of 5 or 10 lessons. Lessons must be completed within six weeks for packeges of 5 lessons and three months for packages of 10 (see below: expiration date).

Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia reserves the right to change the fees at any time and with no notice.
Payments shall be arranged using Bank Transfer services or TransferWise.com services (PayPal is an option but with a 5% addidional charge in order to cover PayPal fee).
Important: by making the payment you accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy of Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia.
Italian lessons
You are required to be online and prepared for the lesson at agreed-upon time.
You are entitled to a 15 minutes of free assessment in order to familiarize yourself with the online environment and equipment, and to enable the teacher to assess your pre-existing language skills.
Technical requirements
Before the first lesson you are required to properly install Skype or/and Google Meet on your computer. In order to be able to participate in our lessons, you will have to create a Skype or/and a Google account and add our teacher to your contact list.
Broadband internet access is required to ensure the quality of the sound and video. In case of a slow internet connection (poor audio/video quality) our teacher may ask you to switch off the camera to improve the audio quality.
Refund
If you decide to terminate your course and will not attend the rest of the prepaid lessons, no refund will be made by Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia.
Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia reserves the right to cancel any lessons pre-arranged and/or pre-paid in any circumstances and will refund the client with the remaining amount of the pre-paid lessons that have not been completed (any third part fees will be deducted from the amount due).
Cancellation and delay policy
If you are unable to attend the lesson at the agreed-upon time you must notify your teacher by email at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel the lesson with less than 24 hours notice, miss the lesson completely, or fail to log in within 15 minutes following the lesson start time, the lesson will be considered as if it was completed and will not be refunded.
The teacher reserves the right to terminate the lessons in the case of unforeseeable circumstances, including the following::
- extremely bad audio quality
- disruption of the Internet services on either side of the lesson
If extremely bad audio quality and/or disruption of the Internet services are on the teacher’s side, the lesson will be rescheduled. If extremely bad audio quality and/or disruption of the Internet services are on the student’s side, you will permitted to reschedule a 30 minutes lesson only.
In case of any unforeseen circumstance, if more than 30 minutes of the lesson have already been completed, the entire lesson will be considered as completed.
In the case taht you are late and you have not informed the teacher of the delay, the teacher will sign out of Skype/Google Meet after 15 minutes and charge you for the lesson.
Expiration date
If you buy a single lesson and/or a package of 5 lessons you must complete those lessons within six weeks from the date of purchase, if you buy a package of 10 lessons you must complete them within three months from the date of purchase. Otherwise you lose the right to complete them.
Exclusion of liability
Learn Italian Online with Teacher Silvia cannot at any time be held responsible for any damage caused by the performance or inadequacy of the services of any third party (e.g.: the Internet, Skype, Google Meet, Zoom etc…)
